Abstract:
This work presents the collected letters of Julián Ribera Tarragó and Miguel Asín Palacios, two of Spain's most important Arabists. The correspondence is currently kept at the CSIC's Centro de Ciencias Humanas y Sociales, having arrived from the former Escuela de Estudios Árabes de Madrid and been discovered in 1999, which is when the process of studying the letters began, culminating in the publication of this catalogue, which is preceded by an introductory study and accompanied by the relevant indices. The letters comprise a documentary collection of great value for the knowledge of humanities as a whole during the period between 1886 and 1944, as well as the history of Spanish Arabism.
