Biography: Investigador Contratado del Programa 'Ramón y Cajal' en el Instituto Universitario de Investigación en Arqueología Ibérica de la Universidad de Jaén. Doctor en Humanidades por la Universidad de Jaén, Máster en Arqueología Social Iberoamericana y miembro de la Escuela Española de Historia y Arqueología en Roma (CSIC, 2008-2011). Especialista en Historia de la Arqueología y en la investigación de campos de batalla de la Segunda Guerra Púnica, ha dirigido varios proyectos en esas líneas de investigación y realizado numerosas publicaciones científicas. Cabe destacar su participación en el Proyecto AREA (Archives of European Archaeology, financiado por la DGX de la UE), el Proyecto Baecula (Plan Nacional de I+D), o el Proyecto 'Estudio de los escenarios bélicos anibálicos de Numistro y Grumentum (Basilicata, Italia), del Ministerio de Cultura, entre otros.

Abstract:

The Spanish School of History and Archaeology in Rome, established in 1910, just turned one hundred years. This volume is published to celebrate this event, with the aim of stopping to look at the past, to rethink critically the present and to invite to a reflection on the hopes and expectations of the immediate future. Through the internal and external look of their characters, it is suggested the readers a multiplicity of perspectives and a broad profile, as the knowledge society and life which extends along the XX and XXI centuries. One hundred years of history can offer a huge plurality of issues in which the everyday life, politics and science are inextricably intertwined and are reflected in this work.
