Francisco Suárez Affiliation: Not available Biography: Francisco Suárez S.I. |

Abstract:
In this volume the research team from Corpus Hispanorum Pace Collection (CHP) at the Spanish National Research Council (CSIC) offers readers the continuation of the critical bilingual edition of Francisco Suárez’s Tractatus de legibus ac Deo Legislatore [Treatise on the laws and on God the legislator]. Specifically it includes Book VI of the Treaty entitled De interpretatione, cessatione et mutatione legis humanae [On the interpretation, cessation and change of human law]. In this volume, the specific topic of dispensing the law, with all its implications in terms of both the strictly legal sphere and all other aspects pertaining to human life, acquires a crucial role. Here, in book VI of his work, Suarez studies these issues with his characteristic depth and thoroughness.
