Abstract:
This book examines the relationship between migration and the ageing of the population from a welfare perspective, studying the immigrant population as a resource for caring for the elderly. In Spain this care labour market, which is in most cases set in the context of domestic service, has grown into a true employment niche for immigrant women (mainly from Latin America) and now is set as the main route of commercially outsourcing family care work.
