Abstract:

The text deals with the archaeological results of the excavation carried out in 1993 in the fortified settlement of Alto do Castro (Laxos, Cuntis, Pontevedra), after the impact caused by the works of the pipeline A Coruña-Vigo. Firstly, the text presents the stratigraphical elements and relations documented, to follow with a detailed analysis of the material culture, specially pottery. Finally, an attempt of a general synthesis of the dynamics of occupation and abandonment of the site is made, as well as a series of methodological considerations relating the fieldwork process.
