Abstract:

This texts consist in a synthesis of the works of Archaeological Impact Assessment in wind farms projects, executed since 1996 by the research unit which is today known as The Heritage Laboratory. This monograph has its origins in a Doctorate Dissertation presented by the author in 2002. It has been reviewed and updated to include projects developed up to the beginning of 2008. The aim of this document is to provide with an overview of the cultural landscapes of Galician uplands, of the heritage elements that characterize them and of how the working processes aimed to assess and alleviate the impact of wind farms development on them.
